The Nexus S originally launched in the United States back in December of 2010, then almost every Canadian carrier decided to add this to their lineup this past April. This is the second “pure Google” device and it’s been one of the most successful Android devices. Now, months later and with more powerful handsets on the horizon, we’ve been informed that Rogers has officially placed this touchscreen device on its discontinued list and have started to deplete their inventory. This is still currently available online and through various retailers.
Rogers is prepping to unload a few high-end devices, most notably the LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy S II and an unknown LTE HTC device. Or quite possibly, with the Nexus discontinued it’s time for the Nexus Prime (or possibly called the Galaxy Nexus) to show up.
(Thanks tipster!)
