Freedom Mobile subscribers have a brand new LTE-ready phone to choose from: The ZTE ZFive2.
The ZFive2 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and features a 5.0-inch display, 8GB of internal storage and 1GB of memory. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor that clocks in at 1.4 Ghz and houses a 2800mAh battery.
The rear-facing camera shoots with a 5 megapixel sensor, while the front-facing ‘selfie’ camera has a 2-megapixel sensor.
The ZFive2 is a low-end phone by almost every definition of the term, but it is one of the few phones compatible with Freedom Mobile’s fairly speedy Band 66 LTE spectrum, making it a rarity for the network’s fledgling LTE network. Currently, only eight out of the approximately 21 phones offered by the carrier support Band 66.
The ZTE ZFive2 is available outright for $170 CAD.
