Telus Q3 profit up 28% - mobilesyrup.com

Vancouver based Telus Corp. reported Friday that growth in its wireless and wireline data businesses helped increased by 28% in Q3, with making a net profit of $410 million, or $1.24 a share – up from $319.6 million, or 94 cents a share from last year.

Telus President & CEO, Darren Entwistle said “The third-quarter results are a marked improvement compared to the second quarter due to Telus’s continued strength in wireless and data combined with improved efficiency of wireless marketing and retention”.

At the end of trading on Friday, shares of Telus were down $.44 at $48.45.
