HTC Canada and HTC U.S. have once again tweeted about the ‘HTC Brilliant U’ event where the company is expected to reveal the HTC U11, its 2017 flagship smartphone.
“Fluid and reflective; designed to be quiet no more” reads the tweet from HTC Canada’s twitter account.

It’s possible HTC is hinting that the HTC U 11 will feature a similar design to the U Ultra. The smartphone may copy the HTC U Ultra’s all glass and somewhat curved rear, giving the smartphone a liquid and fluid appearance. ‘Designed to be quiet no more’ could be a nod towards the device having HTC U Sonic and HTC Boomsound on the device.
According to several leaks, the HTC U11 will arrive in two variants. One is said to feature 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the other is said to include 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
The device will allegedly include a Qualcomm octa-core 10nm 835 Snapdragon chipset, a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera with UltraPixel 3 image sensor, a 16-megapixel selfie camera and feature a 5.5-inch 1440 x 2560 pixel Gorilla Glass 5 display. The smartphone is set come with new Edge Sense feature that allows users to squeeze around the frame for simple one-handed gestures like launching the camera, Google Assistant and HTC Sense Companion.
As the tweet says, HTC Brilliant U event is set to go down on May 16th at 2am EST.
