While OnePlus is reportedly on track to start selling an upgraded version of the OnePlus 3 before the end of the year, a new leak suggests the company will release a new smartphone in 2017 that is a significant upgrade over both that phone and its current flagship.
The leak comes courtesy of Chinese social media network Weibo, which says the OnePlus 4 will feature one of Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 830 series chipsets, 4,000mAh battery, 5.3-inch Optic AMOLED display with QHD resolution, dual rear-facing camera array designed for mixed reality use and 6GB or 8GB of RAM depending on the variant. It’s not clear if the OnePlus 4 will be a Tango device based on its camera spec.
The usual caveats associated with leaks apply here. While the world’s second most famous leaker swears by the website, Weibo leaks have been all over the place in the past.
That said, what do you think of OnePlus 4’s reported specs? Will OnePlus be able to deliver such a powerful phone at a reasonable price? Tell us in the comments section.
