Canadian-founded Kobo plans to unveil a new e-reader next month, according to a tweet from the company’s current CEO, Michael Tamblyn.
Tamblyn took to Twitter yesterday to share the image you see below. He said Kobo users can expect to find out more about the new device sometime mid-August.

The exeuctive didn’t go on to provide much in the way of details about the as-of-yet unnamed e-reader, but based upon the hashtag accompanying his tweet, #OpenUpKobo, it looks like the company may have an interesting new design to show off.
In a follow up tweet, he encouraged a follower to look closer at the pebbles for a hint about the device.
In either case, we’ll find out more in a few short weeks.
