Bell lowers share plan costs by offering more limited calling options

Bell has lowered the cost of its shared data plans by, like Telus began doing last year, offering three choices for calling.

The company recognized that its share plan customers were not all taking advantage of unlimited nationwide calling for $60 each, so it decided to offer a $50 tier for 300 local minutes, and a $55 tier for unlimited local calls.

While the new tiers are reportedly limited time offers, Bell has permanently lowered the price of additional handsets on a share account by $10. The cost to add a new Plus device on a 2-year term is now $50; a Lite device is now $40; and a BYOD device is now $30. Up to 10 devices can be used on a single account.
