CraveTV updated to work with Google Chromecast on iOS and Android

Bell today announced that its on demand video service, CraveTV, is now compatible with Google’s Chromecast dongle, and Google Cast in general.

This marks the first time either CraveTV or Shomi marks compatibility with Google’s streaming stick. CraveTV also becomes the second such offering from Bell to work with Chromecast. Previously, the company made CTV GO work with the device.

To take advantage of this new functionality, simply click on the Chromecast icon in either CraveTV’s iOS or Android app.

“Our goal is to give CraveTV subscribers the ability to view its great programming whenever and wherever they choose,” said Domenic Vivolo, Bell Media’s executive vice-president of content sales and distribution marketing, in a statement. “By delivering CraveTV through Chromecast onto their televisions, CraveTV becomes even more valuable to its subscribers.”

Bell says that CraveTV will become available on additional platforms in the near future.

Bell also added SaskTel’s maxTV to its list of CraveTV-compatible service providers today, along with NRTC Communications, WTC Communications and Tbaytel.

Chromecast is available on the Google Store for $39.
