Canadian carriers, according to the various software update pages, stated an upgrade to KitKat for the HTC One should arrive by “Late January 2014.” Of course, the fine print noted that the date was subject to change at anytime. With a week left in the month there’s a glimmer of hope that Android OS 4.4 could happen.
On HTC’s dedicated Software Updates page the manufacturer is noting that KitKat for the HTC One on Bell, Rogers, TELUS, SaskTel, Virgin and WIND have all entered carrier labs and is going the standard testing before being pushed out to customers. This could mean that the update is just around the corner.
In addition, for the Rogers HTC One mini users out there it also seems that you’ll be graced with KitKat in the imminent future as well.
