The Moto Tag 2 with UWB, Find Hub, and remote shutter now available in Canada

New Moto Buds 2 Plus are also now available

Motorola’s Moto Tag 2 is now available in Canada. The Moto Tag 2 comes in at $39.99 and is a great AirTag option when you use an Android.

The Moto Tag 2 sports Bluetooth 6.0, Ultra Wideband (UWB), IP68 waterproofing, but according to the press information, the device’s working environment is from 0 to 45 degrees Celsius, meaning you might have some issues in Canada’s freezing winters.

What’s important here is the addition of UWB, which offers more accurate direction and distance. It also supports Google Find Hub, an all-in-one place to find Android devices.

You can also do interesting things with the Moto Tag, enhancing its usability. You can use it to find your phone by pressing a button, control your phone camera to take pictures, and you can also change the ringtone of the tracker in the Moto Tag app, letting you change ringtones, adjust volume, and check battery levels. Also, you’re able to share your tag’s real-time location with trusted contacts.

Moto Buds

Alongside the Moto Tag 2, Motorola has released the Moto Buds 2 Plus. The Brilliant Collection starts at $299, but comes with Crystals by Swarovski and comes in a beautiful Pantone Violet Indigo. The Pantone Silhouette comes in Pantone Cool White. These earbuds sport dynamic active noise cancellation, IP54, up to 9 hours per charge and 40 hours including the case, Sound by Bose, Audio Share and Spatial Audio. The Pantone Silhouette earbud is $199, $100 cheaper than its Swarovski counterpart.

These devices haven’t appeared on Motorola’s website yet, but should be anytime now. We’ve reached out to Motorola to learn more.
