Video game royalty is coming to next month’s Canadian Game Awards.
The show has announced that American-Canadian actress Patricia Summersett, the voice of Princess Zelda in several Zelda games, including Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, will be a presenter. While Summersett was born in Michigan, she’s spent much of her adult life in Canada and even studied at Concordia in Montreal.

It’s unclear what award Summersett will present, though it’s worth noting that she plays Tania in one of the most-nominated games, Montreal-based Rogue Factor’s Hell is Us.
Summersett’s involvement comes shortly after the announcement that Canadian Mass Effect stars Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer will co-host this year’s awards ceremony. Between this trio alone, there’s already been some notable Canadian actors confirmed for the show, which is exciting to see.
Organized by producer Carl-Edwin Michel, the 2026 Canadian Game Awards will take place on May 21 at Toronto’s John W.H. Bassett Theatre at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. This coincides with the XP Game Summit conference in the city.
The ceremony will take place at 8 p.m. ET on May 21, with doors opening at 4 p.m. for the Eh! Game Showcase, an event that will feature all kinds of playable demos from Canadian developers.
Tickets to the Canadian Game Awards are available on the show’s official website. The show will also be streamed via the official CGA YouTube and Twitch channels.
