Today is Bell Let’s Talk Day.

It’s the company’s 16th year doing Let’s Talk Day, and this time around, Bell is focusing on encouraging Canadians to pause, reflect and prioritize their mental health. They can do this by checking with themselves, reaching out to others or participating in community activities that can help make a change.

Bell suggests spending time doing breathing exercises, spending time in nature, doing a digital detox or expressing gratitude. The carrier says that these actions can reduce stress and anxiety, create social connection and improve your mood.

In 2026, Bell is giving $10 million towards Canadian mental health and bringing the total Bell Let’s Talk investment to $194 million since 2010.

The company also has Bell Let’s Talk programming on its streaming platforms and channels, as well as community events like lighting up Niagara Falls blue. There’s a campaign in more than 200 universities and colleges, and if students buy a specialty item from one of the Chartwell-run food service locations on campus, 100 per cent of the proceeds from sales will support student mental health and well-being departments.

In 2023, Bell got rid of its approach of donating five cents per text and offered a ‘text-to-donate’ campaign where Canadians could donate $5 by text, and the company would match all donations up to $1 million. However, the company isn’t doing this any longer.

Bell Let’s Talk Day has also faced criticism over the years, especially considering how the company treats its employees. Bell has had a number of layoffs throughout the past few years, even with one as recent as November, 2025. Additionally, in the past, the company has laid off employees following Bell Let’s Talk Day; this happened in 2021 and 2024.
