Following the reveal of the company’s refreshed iMac lineup, Apple has also announced it’s updating its accessory line with the Magic Trackpad 2, Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Keyboard.

Apple’s Magic Trackpad 2 features a flat metal body and white top that slopes from the back to the front of the device. The Trackpad’s surface is also 29 percent wider, in the process taking on a more rectangular shape reminiscent of MacBook Air or MacBook Pro built-in trackpads.

But the most prominent new feature included in the Magic Trackpad 2 is Force Touch – Apple’s subtle vibration technology that mimics the act of physically clicking a button – which means the trackpad can be pressed from any location. The Magic Trackpad 2 will sell for $169 CAD. In comparison, the first Magic Trackpad sells for $89 CAD.

The Magic Keyboard is slight smaller than its predecessor, taking up 13 percent less space on a desk. It also features a lower profile that Apple says helps the keyboard be “incredibly stable” and offer a more precise and comfortable typing experience. The Magic Keyboard is priced at $129 CAD, a significant increase over the $94 first-generation Apple Wireless Keyboard.

When it comes to the new $99 CAD Magic Mouse 2 – which is a price hike of about $10 from the original Magic Mouse – Apple says the device is lighter, sturdier and also features a “smoother glide.”

All three devices run on built-in rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and can be charged via Apple’s proprietary USB Lightning cables. Batteries in the Magic Trackpad 2, Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse, are expected to last approximately one month per charge (previous iterations required external batteries).

All three revamped accessories are currently available on Apple’s website.

Apple also revealed today that it has updated all of its 27-inch iMacs with 5K Retina displays and Intel’s latest generation of Skylake processors. The $2,299 CAD base model iMac comes equipped with a 3.2GHz Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, 1TB of storage and an AMD Radeon R9 M380 processor.

The 21.5-inch iMac has also been upgraded with a 4K display, Intel’s Broadwell processors and 8GB of RAM.
