Absolutely no shock here, but always good to let Canadians know where RIM’s new BlackBerry 10 device will be sold. TBooth and WirelessWave, owned by GlenTel, has stated the new all-touch BB10 smartphone is “coming soon” and can be reserved at one of their retail locations. Both brands represent Rogers, Bell, Virgin and SaskTel. Unfortunately, there’s still no indication of a firm launch date or pricing.

No point in reserving and letting these fat cats earn interest off your hard earned dollars, walk in on launch day and walk out.
Lets be serious people, there will be no huge line-ups and stock shortages of bb10.

    • Sgt.Romanov

There will absolutely be no huge line up’s and stock shortages if they price this at $599 – $700 , It will be the Nexus 4 for me then

    • hoo dat

Sgt.Romanov, you do realise that by the time the N4 hits retail carriers it’ll be at least $600?

No removable battery. No expandable memory. No true LTE. Complaints of chronic buzzing in the earpiece. A glass back that cracks after extended use or minor changes in temperature. Spotty QC. Inept distribution to date.

Even though I don’t think the Z10 is going to be $700, if the N4 is going to be $600 then the Z10 is worth that much and more.

Sgt.Romanov have you ever heard of “value proposition”?

In any case, thanks to Apple, most smartphone prices are inflated. You can buy a laptop/desktop computer less than the price of the phone.

Most of the public will be getting this on contract anyway.

    • Nothin But RIM

Sgt. Romanov – we get it, all your decisions are based on price. You don’t have to mention it on every RIM article. If you’re cheap it’s cool. just keep it to yourself.

Sgt. Romanov…if you cant afford the phone then I suggest you start looking for a Nexus 4.

      Take it and go

  • hoo dat

Oh yeah, I forgot over heating issues too.

  • Omega Jimes

I wouldn’t pay more than the $420(Shipping/taxes inc) I did for the Nexus 4. I’m confident that there will be lots of Z10′s available, that’s why I haven’t pre-ordered. I definitely plan on buying one though.

    • Porilaisten

There’s supposed to be 6 BB10 models this year. I would think one of them would be in your price range.

  • screamer

I need to order one. Don’t want to make a big line up at 6:00 in the morning. … hihi how can somebody order a phone and don’t know the phone and the price. Well for 100 $ I take one!

hoo dat, – your mom tell you about glass . You’re sounding silly boy.

The first known recorded case of the back breaking was just before the Candian launch. A journalist with a tech magazine finished a call on his eval N4, put the phone down and heard a loud crack. He picked the phone up and found the back had cracked right down the middle. Since then there have been enough known complaints to be a concern. Incidentally, this journalist was investigating the buzzing earpiece complaint at the time. It doesn’t take much effort to confirm this. But if you can’t be bothered then I guess you can’t be bothered.

Who said the phone will be priced at $700? Do any of u have proof of that claim? And don’t that that Bell internal doc is proof because that’s an approx. retail value and not the official price of the phone.

    dear MobileSyrup mods,

Can we do something about the spammers like Twosee and the sorts?

I dont know about you guys but I come here to actually read your articles and get updates on the latest mobile tech and speak my mind on things.

I do not spam things like RIP this and RIP that on every article and make worthless comments that have no value to anything or even related to the piece.

Please do something about these trolls and spammers.

    Thank you

And why would I pay $50 to reserve a $700 web browser (without checkers hopefully),? Let me trade in my 9860, 9900, 9000 and 2 play books since I have been a BB user since the Pearl launched. But no that isn’t going to happen. Some lame Visa Trade In for $50 is all we are worth to RIM
