TELUS releases Windows Phone 8107 update for LG Optimus 7 and HTC Surround

TELUS has been pretty good about getting updates out for their legacy Windows Phone devices, which bodes well for the longevity of its upcoming Nokia Lumia 800. They’ve sent word that the 8107 “disappearing keyboard fix” update is now available for the LG Optimus 7 and HTC Surround, and we can verify it with the former device.

The full changelog is:

– Resolves issues that cause the on-screen keyboard to periodically disappear while typing.
– Resolves issues with Local Scout not providing the correct identity of the current location.
– Resolves issues that may cause your contact lists to not fully synchronize with your Gmail account.

To see if the update is available, go to Settings/Phone Update and check if there is a prompt. If so, load up Zune on your PC, connect your device and you’re ready to roll. Let us know how it works for you!
