Telus changes plans, rolls out cheaper $90/200GB Can/U.S./Mex option

Telus hasn't revealed Black Friday offers yet

Vancouver-based national telecom Telus switched up its plans, removing some options and reducing the price of others.

Notably, Telus hasn’t released its Black Friday deals yet, so these new plans aren’t Black Friday deals. That said, I think there’s a good chance the current plans Telus has will be the ones it offers when it does drop Black Friday deals. So, here are the company’s current plans (all of which include a $5/mo autopay discount):

  • $90/200GB 5G (2Gbps speeds) with Canada/U.S./Mexico usage – previously $105/mo.
  • $70/175GB 5G (250Mbps speeds) – previously $75/100GB (2Gbps speeds).
  • $60/100GB 5G (250Mbps speeds) – previously $65/100GB (2Gbps speeds, BYOP-only).
  • $20/mo talk and text.

Notably, Telus previously had $80/150GB (2Gbps, BYOP) and $90/150GB (2Gbps) plans, but those have since been removed and Telus has not launched an equivalent offer.

These new plans are a bit better than what Telus previously offered, though arguably, the company is still behind competitors. For example, Freedom Mobile has a $55/100GB 5G plan with Canada/U.S./Mexico roaming.
