It looks like Samsung is delaying the full launch of the One UI 7.
During the company’s opening keynote for the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC), the company said that the upcoming One UI update would officially launch “on the next Galaxy” in 2025.
This means we will likely not see the One UI 7 until it launches on the Galaxy S25 in early to mid-January. This is far later than expected, considering the One UI 6 came out in late October last year.
One UI 7 is based on Android 15, and considering it’s a couple of months late, it makes sense that Samsung is also a bit behind. Typically, the latest version of Android launches near the end of August; however, Android 15 still hasn’t even come out.
During Samsung’s preview of One UI 7, the South Korean tech maker explained its new UX design was based on three goals: “simplicity with purpose,” “impactful impression signature to Galaxy,” and having a more “emotional quality” to the design.
The One UI 7 beta is planned to launch before the end of the year, and while we won’t get it in Canada, we’ll get to learn about the latest version of Samsung’s latest UX.
