Evernote For Windows Phone Gets Overhaul With New Home Screen And Shortcuts

wp_ss_20130328_0003 wp_ss_20130328_0001Evernote for Windows Phone has received a nice update, with an overhauled home screen and some new features that are going to please the WP purist.

The update takes advantage of one of Windows Phone’s best features, its ability to pin certain content to the home screen via a live tile; these shortcuts can be deeply embedded within the content itself, so you can link to a specific notebook,  note or tag. Shortcuts also show up on the Evernote home screen and are synced between platforms — right now this includes Android, Windows Phone and Mac.

There are also improved tagging features, which also utilize the platform’s excellent search tools. There are notebook stacks, which group certain content together under an encompassing category, and checkboxes for those who enjoy making lists.

Finally, Evernote added Document Search for Premium subscribers, also recently added to the Android version. This is a  nice usability improvement for Evernote on Windows Phone, so enjoy.
