Right before the holidays TELUS went live with their LTE network in Sudbury. This brings faster upload and download speed to the area – about 12 to 25 Mbps on average. We’ve performed many speed tests on various LTE-enabled devices (Samsung Galaxy S III, Note II, iPhone 5, HTC One X+) over the past year the network has definitely improved, well above the average that TELUS quotes.
TELUS went live with their LTE network on February 10th, 2012 and they now reach “over 65 per cent of the Canadian population.” However, TELUS had a goal to bring LTE speeds to “25 million Canadians by the end of 2012.” 65% of the population is just over 22 million.
