BlackBerry Porsche Design P‘9981 coming in Black January 2013

The luxurious BlackBerry Porsche Design P‘9981 is not for everyone. Only the elite or for those who want to dish out a couple grand, but you could be part of history. This unique BlackBerry smartphone could be one of the last devices that RIM will be launching in a new colour. The press release noted that “the new version features a striking, completely black, design, further emphasising the iconic essence of the brand.”

This can be yours for $2,000 and will be available for sale starting “from mid of January 2013 in Porsche Design stores.” For those Canadians who want this gem you can waltz down to the retail location in Toronto, but thankfully they’ll be accepting online orders. Need a refresh of the specs? The P‘9981 has a 1.2 GHz processor, 2.8-inch display, full QWERTY keyboard, 5MP camera, 8GB of internal memory, runs BlackBerry OS 7.1 and the “latest-generation browser.”
