Wind Mobile stores in Windsor and Peterborough under construction, launch imminent

Wind Mobile, who recently passed 500,000 subscribers, promised they’d expand their coverage to a few new cities in 2012. We’ve already seen them open up Woodstock and Kingston, but the two remaining cities are Windsor and Peterborough. Both locations have been in testing for some time as we have been tipped of users receiving a Wind Home Zone signal on their device.

A mild step forward seems to be occurring for both new areas. First, the Windsor location in Devonshire Mall is currently under construction and actively looking for staff. The same is happening over in the east end in Peterborough, a store is the Charlotte Mews stating “don’t worry, we’ll be open soon.”

No exact date yet for either location, probably in a few weeks time. Certainly before the big holiday push. However, the coverage map is listed on the WIND website and shows the core of each city will be covered.
