Google: Jelly Bean is now powering 1.2% of Android devices, ICS sitting at 20.9%

Google has finally released their monthly distribution chart of where the all their Androids OS versions are situated. This time around it’s clear that the newly minted Jelly Bean OS is making small strides, up 0.4% from last month to 1.2% of devices. This could give an insight into how well the Nexus 7 sales are truly going. However, Android OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich has risen above the 20% mark to 20.9%, up a solid 5% in one month. The leader by a longshot is still Gingerbread (OS 2.3) with 57.5%, but the good news is that it dropped over the past few weeks by 3.1%.

Over the next few months we should see ICS take a commanding lead. More devices are being released with this OS, then promised an future upgrade to Jelly Bean.
