Microsoft to show off “a sneak peek of the future of Windows Phone” on June 20th

Microsoft is going to be showing off “the future of Windows Phone” on June 20th, the day before the Galaxy S III launches in the United States. While we don’t know exactly what will be said — the teaser is as ambiguous as it gets.

The reveal will happen during the Windows Phone Developer Summit, a two-day conference taking place in San Francisco. According to sources at The Verge, Windows Phone 8 will be based on the Window 8 RT kernel, which will open the platform up to larger screen resolutions, multi-core processors and better app compatibility.

What do you want to see in the next version of Windows Phone? It’s not even known what it will be called, but whatever it ends up being, it’s sure to be a huge improvement.
