AirDroid for Android lets you transfer files and media between phone and computer

AirDroid for Android is frictionless. It works because it’s easy because WiFi is ubiquitous.

Many times we either don’t have a USB cord nearby or our phones are temperamental and can’t transfer files to and from our computers. AirDroid is for those common situations when you’re close to a WiFi connection but without a cord.

The interface is easy to figure out and relatively sparse: once both the phone and computer are connected to the same WiFi network, AirDroid will spit out a unique IP address to connect to in your computer browser. Once there, you’re asked to enter a six-digit password and the world is your oyster.

You can transfer individual files, music, pictures and other media files to and from your computer, as well as administer SMS messages from your desktop.

The transfers are encrypted and connections are always password protection, so you don’t have to worry about crossed wires.

If you’re into file transfers and don’t want to mess with wires, drivers and connection problems, check out AirDroid for Android.
