LG Optimus 3D becomes official (Video)

LG officially announced the Optimus 3D today in Barcelona… early reviews are impressive and this is the world’s first dual-core, dual-channel and dual-memory device that allows you to record 3D videos and images and watch them glasses-free (and also upload them to and view to your 3D TV). This Android-powered device has a 4.3-inch display, 1 GHz Dual-Core Dual-Channel processor, 5MP dual-lens camera that can records 1080p videos in 2D and 720p in 3D.

In the press release LG stated that “The LG Optimus 3D will be rolled-out globally starting with Europe early in the second quarter. The phone will initially be released with Android 2.2 (Froyo) and will be upgradeable to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The upgrade schedule will be announced in local markets in due course”. No word on a Canadian release date.
