CyanogenMod working on a new Chromium-based browser called Gello

The CyanogenMod team has teased a video on Google+ and YouTube for a project called Gello, a third-party Android browser based on Google’s open source project.

As for what’s currently known, which may or may not come in the final release, Gello will give Android users the option to swipe to move ahead or back, night and immersive modes, offline reading mode, ad block functionality, enhanced privacy and security settings, and also bring a customized interface that includes tab animations.

The finer details are sparse, but Joey Rizzoli of CyanogenMod stated that Gello is “coming to a screen near you” and they will “unveil more soon.”
