Galaxy S5 Lollipop update now rolling out to Canadians

Canadian owners of Samsung’s Galaxy S5 will be pleased to note their time has come for a Lollipop update. The Android 5.0 software has started to roll out across Canada and we’ve so far received confirmation of receipt from Bell users that say the update popped up on their device labeled ‘Firmware G900W8VLU1BOB3.’ Bell has since announced the roll out on its Twitter page.

If you don’t already see a notification on your phone prompting you to download the software, you can manually check for the update via Menu >> Settings >> About device >> Software update >> Update.

Let us know if you’ve received it and on which carrier.

Update: Rogers, TELUS, Videotron, Koodo and WIND Mobile customers are now reporting Lollipop has arrived on their GS5.
