Initial Typo case pre-orders sell out, now shipping at the end of February

The Typo keyboard is compatible with the iPhone 5 and 5s, and is the result of “years of development.” Pre-orders went live for the $99 case a few weeks ago and sold out of its initial inventory, with delivery expected late January. Taking a look at the site today shows the next phase of Typo pre-orders arriving at the “end of February, 2014.”

Typo CEO and co-founder Laurence Hallier said, “We’re excited about all of the positive feedback Typo has generated and we’re working hard to ensure that we get as many keyboards in consumers hands as soon as possible.”

The early reviews of the Typo are mixed. Digital Trends says that “typing on it is more stressful than putting up with the iPhone’s cramped touchscreen.” CrackBerry states, “It’s definitely not the best keyboard ever made, but I’m typing well on it. More than acceptable.” AppleInsider said, “Typo could be the answer you’ve been waiting for.” And finally Bloomberg, “For BlackBerry Addicts, Typo Keyboard for iPhone May Be Worth the Headaches.”
