Nintendo has announced that it will air not one but two Nintendo Direct presentations next week.
On Tuesday, September 8 at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET, the company will stream a roughly 30-minute Direct celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series.
Then, on Wednesday, September 9 at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET, Nintendo will host a roughly 45-minute general Direct featuring a variety of Switch 2 games, followed by a nearly two-hour Nintendo Treehouse stream offering deeper dives into some of those same titles.

Historically, Nintendo has only held one Direct in a given window, so getting two is especially noteworthy. In terms of Zelda, it’s safe to assume we’ll see more from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake that was teased in June and set to launch sometime this year. It’s also possible we’ll get the first trailer for the live-action The Legend of Zelda movie that is hitting theatres in April.
The main Direct, meanwhile, is a bit more mysterious. Presumably, we’ll finally get a release date for The Duskbloods, FromSoftware’s Bloodborne-esque multiplayer action-RPG that recently got a public network test but is currently only slated for “2026.”
We also haven’t seen the next mainline Pokémon games, Winds and Waves, in a while. Nintendo may even offer one last big look at Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, which launch on September 17 and October 22, respectively.
Regardless of what’s shown, it’s undoubtedly going to be a big week for Nintendo. (And for Apple fans too, since September 9 is the company’s major fall keynote.)
