Corus Entertainment has laid off more staff.

On Thursday, the Canadian media company confirmed to The Canadian Press that cuts have been made at Global BC, Global National, News 640 and talk radio. Corus didn’t specify how many people were let go, but it did say it was a “small number.”

In a statement to The Canadian Press, a Corus spokesperson said these changes are “part of the difficult but necessary work to ensure our teams are structured in a sustainable way, while minimizing disruption to local news and audio delivery.”

Notably, this comes just one month after Corus axed jobs at Global News and Corus Radio in Calgary and Edmonton. These layoffs follow Corus reporting a net loss of $36.5 million in its third quarter and a 16 per cent year-over-year revenue drop.
