Starting on November 20, the gaming giant says that select retailers will have discounts on popular titles, bringing some down to $59.99 and others to $54.99. A handful of Amiibo will also be discounted by up to $15.
$59.99 titles
- Princess Peach: Showtime!
- The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
- Donkey Kong Country Returns HD
- Luigi’s Mansion 3
- Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe
$54.99 titles
- Super Mario Odyssey
- Nintendo Switch Sports
- Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
- Splatoon 3
Other games in the Nintendo eShop (likely third-party titles) will also go on sale starting November 20.
If you’re hoping to get a discount on a Switch or Switch 2 system, it seems like, as per usual, there will be no discounts, but instead some consoles will come with a pack-in game. So far, Nintendo is still hyping up two separate $699 console bundles. One comes with Mario Kart World and the other with Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
If you’re still looking to pick up a Switch 1 console, there will be a Switch Sports bundle retailing for $419. However, it should be noted that none of the Switch or Switch 2 bundles are new for the holidays and are already on store shelves.
Ultimately, if you’re waiting for the Switch 2 to go on sale, I wouldn’t hold your breath. The Switch 1 never got discounted beyond offering a pack-in game during its lifetime, and with the rise of tariffs earlier this year, it actually got even more expensive this year. If you do want to find one cheaper than retail, you should look at the Nintendo refurb store or your local buy/sell marketplaces.
Finally, the company announced that starting on November 30, some stores will also offer discounts on Samsung’s MicroSD Express cards, up to $25, to help make extra storage for your console more affordable. That said, these usually start at around $84.
If you’re looking to test out a new console before you buy, the company will also be holding demos in Costco and EB Games. There will also be select pop-up Nintendo experiences in Mississauga, Edmonton and Montreal.
