Epic Games has revealed a new mode for Fortnite for mobile users of the game.
On social media, the developer teased “Fortnite Blitz Royale,” a “faster” version of the signature battle royale mode. Epic added that these will be five-minute matches that feature a “roguelike” design, although it didn’t elaborate on what that means.
While Blitz Royale was “specifically crafted” for bite-sized mobile game sessions, Epic adds that it will be available on all platforms with cross-play support.
The timing of the new mode is pretty fitting, as Epic was able to get Fortnite back on Apple’s App Store following legal disputes.
