HP details new laptops at Imagine 2024

HP is expanding its laptop lineup

HP shared several announcements during its annual ‘Imagine’ event in Palo Alto, California, including a couple new AI PCs.

First up, HP announced its new OmniBook Ultra Flip 14-inch, a 2-in-1 laptop sporting an Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processor. The OmniBook Ultra Flip features a 3K OLED display and the ability to switch between laptop, tablet and tent modes.

The laptop also includes a 9-megapixel AI camera and is made from 90 percent recycled metals and 50 percent post-consumer recycled plastics. HP boasts up to 20-hour battery life on the OmniBook Ultra Flip based on a local video playback test.

Alongside the OmniBook, HP also detailed its new EliteBook X, a 14-inch AI-capable laptop aimed at businesses. The EliteBook X sports 64GB of RAM along with an AMD Ryzen Pro CPU boasting 55 tera operations per second (TOPS) of neural processing unit (NPU) performance.

HP shared the following pricing information for its upcoming products:

  • OmniBook Ultra Flip 14-inch – Available now starting at $1,449.99 USD (about $1,957.83 CAD).
  • EliteBook X 14-inch – Available in December, pricing to be announced closer to availability.

Other announcements from HP Imagine include a new HyperX Mix 2 gaming headset, new monitors, printers, and several work-related items like a new Work Relationship Index and meeting hardware.
