Amazon launched its ‘Key In-Garage’ delivery program for Prime subscribers in 1,700 Canadian cities and towns.

Key In-Garage delivery allows Amazon to deliver packages to Prime members securely by placing them inside recipients’ garages. To use the service, Prime members need a compatible smart garage door with a myQ, Chamberlain or LiftMaster opener.

To use the service, Prime members have to check their eligibility on the Amazon Key website and follow the steps to link their smart garage. Once everything is set up, customers can select In-Garage Delivery during checkout.

Amazon is offering a promotion for the service’s launch, making Key In-Garage delivery free until March 31st, 2025. After that date, Amazon will charge a $1.99 delivery fee, though the e-commerce giant will waive the fee if customers use the ‘Pick Your Day’ option. Pick Your Day lets customers choose a delivery day. Pick Your Day and Doorstep delivery will continue to be free of charge.

Additionally, Amazon is offering a $10 credit to Prime members who sign up for and place their first Key In-Garage delivery by October 22nd.

You can learn more on Amazon’s website as well as check your eligibility for Key In-Garage delivery.
