Apple has finally confirmed that its Carpool Karaoke series will debut on Apple Music on August 8th, 2017.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet software and services, confirmed the release date in a tweet.

The series is based on a recurring segment on the Late Late Show with James Corden.
In the segment, Corden and a surprise celebrity guest drive around cities like Los Angeles, London, and New York, while singing along to songs performed by the guest or songs related to the guest’s career. Past guests have included Adele, Jennifer Lopez, as well as former First Lady Michelle Obama.
Apple confirmed that it had bought the rights to a series based on the Capool Karaoke in July 2016. In a Feburary 13th, 2017 trailer posted to YouTube, Apple confirmed guests including Alicia Keys, John Legend, Will Smith, Chelsea Handler and Metallica.
