Samsung is making the Note 7 both future proof and backwards compatible when it comes to charging ports by providing every buyer of its latest Note iteration with a USB Type-C to MicroUSB adapter.
At today’s unveiling event in New York City, the company also noted pointedly that the device will come with an audio jack, a comment directed at competitor Apple, which, according to a slew of recent leaks, is cutting the traditional 3.5mm jack in favour of Lightning and Bluetooth headphones, as well as Motorola, which has already ditched the 3.5mm audio jack with its latest device, the Moto Z.
