Remember the Samsung Galaxy Alpha? The diminutive metal smartphone that ushered in Samsung’s new design focus? It may have disappeared from the collective consciousness after only a few months, but the company promised to update it to Lollipop, and today we have good news.
The Lollipop update appears to be rolling out to Canadians on Bell and Telus, and should be coming to Rogers customers shortly. Unlike the Galaxy S5, which is stuck on the older, buggier Android 5.0, the Alpha was updated directly to Android 5.0.2, which fixed many of the performance problems from the earlier versions. Build number is VLU1BOD5.
