European-based social platform Selfish, launched last month for iOS and web, is now available for download in Canada for all Android devices through Google Play. Android users will now be able to access their Selfish profiles on their devices, allowing them to create, share, and contribute to stories from family, friends, as well as like-minded users from around the world.
Unlike other social networking platforms, Selfish allows users to control the type of content they consume from connections in their networks. For example, if a user’s friend posts about motorbikes and cats, the user can change his or her settings so that they only receive stories about motorbikes. According to the cofounder and president of Selfish, Moody Fayed, the platform “effectively changes the way in which we engage with content socially.”
The app is being beta tested in Canada with plans for a US roll out in early March.
