Quick update for those living in Manitoba as regional carrier has announced plans to expand its HSPA+ network to another 6 remote regions within the province this year.
Residents, businesses and visitors to Ebb and Flow First Nation, Fisher River First Nation, Churchill, Snow Lake, Bissett and Middlebro can soon shed the old CDMA tech of yesteryear and hop onto the faster 4G HSPA+ network. In an email to us MTS highlighted the fact that customrs can now “start using iPhone, Android, Windows and Blackberry devices.” Good progress for the 4,000 people in the area. No word on when this will go live or if and when the carrier will rollout LTE in the area.
