We’ve heard from Bell that the Galaxy S II upgrade to OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be coming this month. TELUS also echoed the same, but stated it’s “coming soon”. Now regional carrier SaskTel has given a bit more clarity as to when they expect their GS II customers to have the good fortune of ICS. On their site they noted that “We’re working to obtain the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) platform for several phones. We expect this update to be available for the Samsung Galaxy S II mid to late April 2012. For other phones, we don’t have an availability date at this time.”
So it seems the official update could be hitting customers soon… but again, the key word in their announcement is “expect.”
