Rogers Acer Liquid e to be priced at $374.99 no-contract

Rogers announced way back in February that they’ll be exclusively carrying the Android-powered Acer Liquid e. This will come with OS 2.1 and thanks to our friends from the East Coast we’ve been able to get a retail inventory screenshot of the no-contract price. How does $374.99 sound to you?

The Liquid e also comes with a 768MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 3.5-inch WVGA high-definition capacitive touch screen, 5 megapixel camera with video capabilities, WiFi, Full HTML browser, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, can hold up to 32GB with a microSD card. Overall dimensions are 116×54×12.75mm and weighs 135 grams.

  1. Phone looks promising, and this price is making it even more enticing.

  2. Not bad at all…
acer devices are normally fairly cheap online, would have figured rogers would slap this cheap phone with a price of near or over $500
$374.99 is not that bad but they could have made it under $350 to keep tha total after tax for us in ontairo under $400
    lol

Still most likely wont buy one, not at that price.

i got android 2.1 running on my htc touch & htc diamond to hold me over till canada gets a better htc device.

  4. I can’t believe I’m going to say this about a Rogers offer, but that’s not bad!

If they’re not sneaking in some type of contract or other stipulation, $374.99 is a fair price this phone considering it’s only marginally below the specs of some of the other new Android phones (N1, Incredible, Desire). However, those are more expensive outright.

It should provide a good overall Android experience.

  8. @frank yu
I have x10 and I am regretting it, I would rather had Acer then X10. X10 will never have multi touch :(

  9. I wouldn’t waste an upgrade on this phone. I’d rather use it on a more worthy Android. I may consider buying a Liquid E outright or…

  10. This is a good price. Hopefully device prices will come down enough to make 3 year contracts pointless, and the carriers can start competing on real price points rather than the initial deposit on a contract.

  11. I’m pretty sure that the price will drop eventually, if you have patience.

  12. I might pick one of these up at that price – whether through Rogers or unlocked.

I’ve pretty much had it with my Nokia 5800 XM.

  13. Or pick up a Liquid A1 already released for even less and upgrade to 2.1 once it’s out. Either way, best bang for the buck in Android phones right now.
