Just like all our previous/current contest all you have to do is enter your name below. But this time we request a tad bit more by answering why you would LOVE a Palm Pre! It could be because it has the new webOS platform, it’s 3.1-inch touchscreen, multitasking capabilities for all your e-mail, contacts and calendar… or it’s full slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
Want more? We’re also including a Touchstone charging dock and a leather case! So this has a total value of about $700. Now that’s a great Valentine’s day gift!

I like the palm pre because it has unique features that any other phone cannot do! It features WebOS which makes it even better to use, especially when it comes to a touch-screen and that’s only it is best for its unique formfactor which is like an arc like slider which is nice about the phone and it appeals to people who are really busy with every day life! why do i love it…this is an easy answer with the pre…
primarily because of how intuitive it is…the additional gesture area takes the phone functionality and usability to a new level, even to date, with a phone getting released every month it seems, nobody seems to get it quite right. The multi-touch capability is another feature that most of the competitive devices seem to omit. It is clearly a device that has had a lot of thought and considerations from the smartphone community put into it (which accounts for it being the Palm savior). And all the other features you listed above obviously dont hurt

I love the palm pre because unlike any other platform it truly takes multi tasking to the next level it is also incredibly compact and stylish, lastly i love it because i believe that that device alone is the reason for palms comeback and thats great in my eyes.

I would LOVE to win the Pre because it features an innovative multi-task solution, great webkit browser and hard keyboard! WebOS has a while to go before it becomes a mature platform, but with Palm providing constant updates it is starting to show they are making a strong comeback. Plus the touchstone is also the charging solution I’ve always dreamed of owning! None of the messy wires or fiddling with tiny connectors.

A Palm Pre would warm my cold heart after living with my Samsung Instinct for a year and a half. Here is how my sister and her now fiance got engaged……Meeting in a sushi restaurant is rare, but even more so is having a twin sister as amazing as Jennifer Molinari! I’ll never forget the day that Jen called me and told me of this new guy in her life named Christopher Maul. I could tell in the tone of her voice that this was much different than any other. Over the next several months he became like the brother I never had. We would often times wrestle at family parties like brothers often do. Because of this bond, I was very happy to hear of the event that took place last Monday. Jen came home from a long day of work to an empty house. She played with her little kitten Payton for hours all the while Chris was hiding in her closet. Finally she needed to get Payton’s leash out of the closet for his walk, and as she opened the door Chris lunged at her with a diamond ring in his hand shouting “MARRY ME! MARRY ME”! Jennifer was so excited it took her 10 minutes to get the one word “Yes” out of her mouth. Congratulations

Why would I love a Pre? Not for the great UI – though it’s beautiful. Nor is it the hardware – though who can argue with a touch screen and keyboard combo? No – I’d love a Pre for philosophical reasons.

I’ve have been wanting a Palm pre since before they were available in the U.S. I am currently in a contract with Fido, so I have been waiting for the Pre to be offered in a 850/1900 unlocked version.

Hey MobileSyrup! I would love a Palm Pre because I’ve always been wanting a smartphone but I’ve been stuck with my Koodo tab and I don’t feel it’s necessary to cancel and then buy a new phone. Palm has always been interesting to me. WebOS is not very acknowledged by many people and has a potential to build on over the years. Synergy looks like a great feature. Also I’ve always wanted a phone with an app store, a keyboard, and a virtual keyboard. (Along with it being a smartphone of course. The Pre is the great phone with the AMAZING operating system called WebOS. I have been a Palm user since the Palm I original PDA. I couldn’t believe how great a device it was at the time and spent alot (wayyy too much) time learning Graffiti so I could write quickly with the stylus. And now comes the best new OS ever, it’s sleek like the iPhone and yet it’s open to hacking and modding and sideloading applications. It’s like the best of both worlds. I would love the new Pre just so I could brag to all my friends and make them see just how much better WebOS is over anything else out there.

I’ve been a life long bell subscriber and would hate to leave them… They refuse to allow me to get a Palm Pre without having to first cancel my existing contract (1+ year left) and sign a new one (losing my number in the process, the number i’ve had for 5+ years) then sign a new contract for years, or pay for a brand new phone…

There are many reasons to like the Pre. You’ve touched on many of them. Why rehash?
The real reason I like the Pre the same reason I like Rocky III. Just like Rocky, Palm was the unbeatable champ sitting on top of the world. Then it’s reign was destroyed by the competition. It could have given up and disappeared. Like Rocky, it chose the harder path. It chose to reinvent itself. It chose to develop new weapons in the fight for smart phone domination. It had the will and determination to get back in the ring and challenge the new champion. Now, it’s a winner.
It is a symbol more that phone. It sends a message to the world that we can beat this recession and be strong again. If I was lucky enough to win this phone, every time I’d hear “Eye of the Tiger” blaring from my pants I would give a silent thank you to Palm for inspiring me to be a fighter. I would love the palm pre because ive been watching videos and researching it for the past 3 months all the comparisons to the iphone 3gs and many other phones even multiple videos of unboxing when its basically the same it has so much potential to be one of the best phones out there. I’ve been a phone person for so long I had the sony ericsson s710 then nokia n81,n95,n97 now i currently have the sony ericsson xperia x1. I had phones that i can hack into and mod it to be the best but Im at the point where im tired of it and i just want a nice simple phone that does it all and runs smooth palm pre does it for me. For the last few weeks ive been going to sprint stores just to play with it. Now that its out on verizon makes me even more crazy to have it. I would be so happy thankful to have this phone.

I would love the palm pre! I have 2 sisters that are on sprint with the palm centro they tried to get me to be with sprint but I never liked any of the phones they had. Im also the hand me down phones I never had a phone I wanted and got. I currently have a black berry pearl I received from one of my sisters she had it for a year and I had it for 3. Its my second phone I ever had and its been too long I need a new phone. I recently was looking up the palm pre and it seems perfect! The multitasking and features it has is amazing! the Palm Pre looks so nice, not only because it has a beautiful, clear, high resolution 3.1-inch touchscreen, but when i tried it out at the store, the touchscreen responds really well, even when i had many other programs open, the phone didn’t lag at all. and the multitasking capabilities is incredible. i also love that it has the full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, its perfect for me cuz i have tiny hands. I usually get bored of my phones easily, and when i get a touch screen phone i wanted some buttons because the touchscreen gets boring after a while, and it lags a lot. BUT the Palm Pre looks perfect! it has both the touchscreen and the keybord, i will definitely will not get bored of it if i win(: This is the reason why I WOULD LOVE A PALM PRE!

The phone I have been using is now being used by my mother because she is working more often and is in more need of it. She works tirelessly for our family and deserves something nice, I would like to give this to her. The Palm Pre offers the best of two different hardware styles. It has a full QWERTY keyboard along with a great touch-screen feature. I also love the wireless charging system, very impressive.
I’ve been a life-long Palm purist. Palm products are the only mobile devices I’ve ever owned. Take a look at my resume.
First device: The Palm Zire 31-My very first PDA. Before this device, I’d carry one of those Day-Runner books. And to think of all the money I wasted on paper for updating contacts, calendars, appointments, notes, etc. Then Zire 31 came along and organized my life for the better. It was amazing.
Second device: When I discovered the beauty of wifi, I upgraded to a Tungsten TX. It was during my Tungsten days when I first experienced the internet in the “palm” of my hand. Long before any ipods or ipads. Being able to access the internet and my email from anywhere (within a wifi hot-spot) helped me become more productive. I still have it for keepsake purposes and memories of a time since past.
Third device: The Treo 680. From the TX PDA, I decided to upgrade to the Treo 680. A true innovative device for its time. I can now make phone calls and stay connected to the internet.
Forth and current device: Treo 750. With Windows Mobile OS, I truly felt as if I have a pocket PC in the palm of my hand, along with all the bells and whistles. This particular device was a real extension of my desktop PC. I use it for everything.
This is my Palm-life/resume. I was about to buy a Treo Pro, but decided to wait for something newer and more innovative to come from Palm and they have done that with the Palm Pre.

I just got back from teaching at McCam basic school in jamaica as part of my school program. It was all voluntary and i kind of got my self into dept to get me there and right now Jamaica is really expensive ( especially for a student when the tax there is 17.5%!) So now im back in toronto, a poor college student and the only student alive with out a cell phone!
I loove the combination of a qwerty key pad and touch screen. I used to have a sidekick, so i kind of became addicted to texting and it’s not the same with out a qwerty pad. My poor, very old, sidekick broke on me a month before i left for jamaica and i havent had a phone since.

I would love to have this Palm Pre.
I recently switched away from my HTC Touch, which is awesome for surfing the net, but pretty crappy for talking to people. I’m really not liking the LG Rumour I’m using as a replacement until I qualify for a replacement (it was super cheap, and I can’t afford better), and I can’t give up my corporate phone plan, since it’s insane.
So I would love a Palm Pre since, as an oral communication device it’s pretty darn good, it’s also sweet for surfing around on the internet and checking all the email I get about how I too can enlarge the organs I don’t have due to gender differences to please the ladies in my life, or the ones who will soon be in my life, if I only follow the instructions in the other emails I get.
I’m this close to happiness with an Estonian. I only need the Palm Pre to make that happen.

I would love a palm pre for a few reasons. First is WebOS, which is at its core the best OS on the market. Second is the fact that my Bell contract is expiring and I need (but can’t afford) a new phone….but realllllly don’t want to lock in for another 2/3 years to get a decent handset.
But the third….the third, and most important reason…is for my girlfriend’s sanity. I don’t think she can take much more of my incessant pining for a new phone.
“Hey hon, take a look at this video! See, the palm can MULTITASK!”
“So, if I were *hypothetically* to drop $500+ on a new phone, should I get an iPhone or a Pre?”

MY love for the PALM PRE is second only to my beautiful wife. I bought my first smart phone the palm pre and jump phone companies on our aniversery in october(I got it ,really for the google maps…but boy to have all the information I want at my finger tips along with videos,games, desk top contacts…I’m giddy…everyone at work has the Iphone-blackberrys…but I have the different…the amazing pre)….that day my wife got only a simple slide phone but were 40-ish and new is scary sometimes …she now loves to text with me,but I know she’s seeing me palm pre-ing….
she’s been off from teaching school for 3 months because of her ears….and will be going back feb 18th….if she had a little pre kissing her cheek,that would make me sooo happy…..she’ll be back and PRE-cool with her elemenary kids. sooo don’t pick me ….pick my wife

My girlfriend’s cherished phone died about 2 days ago and she just re-signed a 3 year contract for extra anytime minutes and text messaging. We’re both university students and can’t afford to shell out on a replacement phone right now.
