Not in Canada: G1 Google Android

With all the hype behind the new Google’s new open-source operating system called Android – Canada will not be getting this for a very long time – it will be available exclusively with T-Mobile starting in the USA on October 22nd for $179.00,  with 2 different data plans at $25 and $35. Then be rolled out early November to the United Kingdom and Germany, Austria, Czech Republic and the Netherlands  first quarter of 2009.

We wish now T-Mobile made a bigger push to invest some cash in the wireless spectrum auction so we can get this. Here is a video that explains what Android is:

  1. In a year then? I’ve got that long to go with Telus until my contract is up… then I’ll be looking at Android based phones with a lot of interest!
