iPhone SE 4 leaks show iPhone 14-like design, Dynamic Island

The phone might also stick with the iPhone SE name instead of the rumoured iPhone 16E branding

iPhone SE (2022)

A few leaks for the rumoured new fourth-gen iPhone SE seem to confirm some notable features.

First, tech reviewer Sonny Dickson shared some images of an ‌’iPhone SE‌ 4′ dummy model, corroborating previous reports that it will feature an iPhone 14-like design. Specifically, we can see a similar chassis with an aluminum band, as well as a glass back and a single-lens rear camera.

More recently, notable phone leaker Evan Blass also shared an alleged image of the front of the iPhone SE 4 in a private social media post, which would appear to confirm a Dynamic Island instead of a notch. The pill-shaped live activity centre was introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro series, so it makes sense that it would be included in a new iPhone 14-esque handset.

Interestingly, Blass’ social media post also shared apparent source code pointing to “iPhone SE (4th gen)” as an official product name, which would contradict previous rumours that the phone might be called the ‘iPhone 16E.’ However, this could be placeholder text and doesn’t necessarily confirm a final product name.

Outside of these new rumours, previous reports suggest that Apple’s first new SE since 2022 will feature a 6.1-inch OLED display, a newer A-series Chip, Apple Intelligence support and more. It’s also rumoured to launch by April, just like new iPad models.
