Death Stranding is now available on Xbox

This game is on everything

Death Stranding Director's Cut

Kojima Productions has taken back control of the Death Stranding IP from Sony, and alongside that, it’s launching the first game in the series on Xbox.

The Directors Cut version of the game is available on Xbox Series X/S, and for a limited time, it is 50 percent off, making the price only $27.49 in Canada. It is also available on PC, Mac, PlayStation, and iOS, and it seems to be on sale on Mac and PC as well, but still full price on PS5 and at its regular $24 price on iOS.

The game is also launching on the Amazon Luna game streaming platform, and you can play it if you subscribe to Luna+, which has a free seven-day trial and then costs $12.99 per month in Canada.

It was assumed that the sequel to Death Stranding would be a PS5-exclusive title, but the news of Kojima taking back control of the IP suggests that when it launches in 2025, we might see it on more platforms. Alongside that, the company is working with A24 on a Death Stranding movie, plus a horror game called OD is also in the works. There is also a game with the working title PHYSINT in production at the studio, and it’s slated to be an action espionage game, ideally more in line with what fans grew to love with the Metal Gear franchise.
