AirPods are on sale for Prime Big Deal Days

Now its time to decide what AirPods you want

If you have an iPhone, Mac or iPad, the best earbuds you can get are AirPods. Thankfully, you can get a pair for a bit of a discount over the next few days with Amazon’s Prime Big Deal days sales.

Personally, I think the best Apple headphones are AirPods Pros. They sound great and have tons of cool software features that make them great for navigating through the city or blocking out sounds on a loud airplane. Plus, Apple announced some cool new hearing aid features that will be available to earbuds whenever Health Canada approves them (hopefully, later this year).

AirPods Pros with the USB-C charging case are $259, down from their regular price of $329 in Canada. You can read our full review of them here.

The next set of AirPods on sale are the third-generation models with a lighting port on the charging case. These earbuds sound great and support Spatial Audio, but they don’t include any form of ANC or wireless charging. They’re down to $179 and usually cost $229. If you do want the version with wireless charging, you need to get the options with the ‘MagSafe Charging case,’ which Amazon is currently not selling.

That being said, Walmart has the earbuds with the wireless charging case listed for $179, so I’d recommend that most people pick them up there instead. We reviewed this version back in 2021 and were impressed.

Apple’s latest AirPods (without silicon tips) haven’t been on sale since they just came out. The ANC versions ($249) are really nice, but if you were planning on buying the lower-end $179 version, I’d recommend getting the deal with the MagSafe case from Walmart since the wireless charging is pretty convenient. If you were aiming to get the Amazon deal with the Lightning case, I’d spend a few extra dollars on the new ones without ANC since the mics and sound quality are a bit better.

Remember, Amazon Prime Day deals always spur all the other retailers into action, so make sure you shop around before you buy your pair.
