The new Nexus 7 is now available in retail outlets across Canada, but stock is limited and online orders are already largely sold out.

We told you last week that Staples would begin selling the device tomorrow, July 31st, but the company, along with Best Buy and Future Shop, went live today, just like their US counterparts.

The 16GB WiFi model seems to be the only one available at this time, and Staples is the only one with online stock remaining, but all three outlets appear to have at least some stock, one of which costs $249.

For a recap, the new Nexus 7 has a 7-inch 1920×1200 pixel IPS display, 2GB of RAM, 16-32GB internal storage, a 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, a 1.5Ghz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC with an Adreno 320 GPU. The screen is also outfitted with Corning Gorilla Glass for scratch protection, and wireless charging is built into the back. There are dual back-facing speakers, and the battery should last for 10 hours.

Check it out at Staples, Best Buy and Future Shop.
