This time it’s the Xperia Tablet Z under the proverbial hatchet, showing off the slim slate’s mostly battery-filled interior. The narrator assures us the Tablet Z will be on shelves in May, though it wasn’t certain if he meant worldwide or merely in Japan.
Sony’s third attempt at an Android tablet after the Tablet S and Xperia Tablet S appears to be far more ambitious an outfit than the first two; its 6.9mm thick frame sports a 1920×1200 pixel display and houses a quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor and 2GB RAM. You can expect all the trimmings, including a custom Sony skin atop Android 4.1.2 and Walkman, Music Unlimited, PlayStation Mobile and more, when the Tablet Z is released in Q2.
