Bell: “Early hardware upgrade eligibility will be removed from all Consumer profiles”


There’s no reason stated, but Bell notes in this internal doc that “Early hardware upgrade eligibility will be removed from all Consumer profiles, as well as INDV-Business, INDV-Personal and EPP Corporate account sub types”. This went into place on November 18th and seems to be a permanent move – or until they come out with something new. However, if you’re on a select corporate account with them (Corporate, Government or in Quebec) then the early upgrade is still active and nothing changes. In addition, it looks like the only way Bell will extend the early upgrade to consumers is if you were “offered an Early Hardware Upgrade prior to November 18, 2011″… but you’ll be obligated to pay the hardware upgrade fee of $15 x # months left of your contract.
