Insecure passwords are one of the most significant security issues on the Internet. 1Password is a veteran of the password management world, and the company has several options for users to keep all logins secure.
Earlier this week, 1Password announced plans to open up a new pricing tier for its app and services for families. For only $5 a month, a family of five can use 1Password on Mac, PC, iOS and Android, store unlimited passwords, credit card numbers, notes, and access 1GB of secure storage.
With the subscription, each user will be able to access shared passwords like family Netflix accounts, but will also have access to personal vaults where more individual logins can be stored. The new service will also store encrypted passwords in a secure cloud database hosted by 1Password, so users won’t need to store login keychains on Dropbox or another file service.
Additional service for family members above the starting five users is only an additional $1 per month, so families large and small will be able to take advantage of this plan.
1Password for families is available today, and you can sign up here.
